No, answer is A.
Is a/b > 0?
Question basically asks whether a and b have the same sign.
(1) ab > 0 --> a and b have the same sign. Sufficient.
(2) a – b > 0 --> a>b, from this we can not conclude whether a and b have the same sign: if a=2 and b=-1 then the answer to the question is NO (a/b=-2<0) but if a=2 and b=1 then the answer to the question is YES (a/b=2>0). Not sufficient.
Answer: A.

Right, but we do know that the signs are the same--both positive or both negative.
Hence a/b is > 0. Remember that +/+ is greater than 0 and -/- is also greater than 0.
Statement 2 tells us that a > b but it doesn't tell is if a and b are both positive or both negative or have different signs.
