Is a Manhattan Class more worthy than its whole Prep Set??

Hi,

After going through the threads here and analyzing the views of many, I reached the conclusion that I should use the proper preparation course for my studies. Now, as in Pakistan no manhattan class option is available, my only choice is to take benefit from MGMAT study guides.

Two options were there, either to purchase the whole set from US via net or to search the related free ebooks. I have searched a few ebooks (as the cost is too much in our local currency) but majority of MGMAT are not found. I am finally deciding to purchase this whole set (I am too sad by doing this

, my salary will be consumed).

Now my question is that would this be a best option??? Will the prep course without manhattan classes be of less use??

If can survive without an instructor, the true value of the MGMAT prep materials is in the books. You can always try ebay for a used set. Granted, you are in Pakistan, but it is also an option. If you have any family/friends in India, the books are available there as well: mgmat-sc-guide-80250.html

I think the only option left with me is china!! I have contacted Manhattan as well and waiting for their reponse.

So every body thinks that without Manhattan Class attendance and with only the books, I can still manage to score high???

That will mostly depend on how will you "self learn".

If know most of the fundamentals and just need a refresher and to apply the strategies, my guess is you can break 700 w/o the classroom.

Some people do very well w/o instruction, and some depend on instruction more. The nice part about the GMAT club forum is the VERY active participation int he quant/verbal forums. If you run into problems you can't see to approach properly, posting the question there will usually yield positive results.
