My background: I am a 25 year old with ~4 years of work experience in media - 3 years in an operations role and 1 year in marketing/analytics. I graduated from a top tier public university with a BA in History. I like what I am doing right now and would like to stay on this career path, hence why I am considering a part time MBA over a full time MBA (among other reasons such as cost).
I'd like an MBA because I think it would be beneficial to have under my resume in the future when I am being considered for management positions when I decide to leave my company and go elsewhere. I also think it will improve my salary when I apply for another job. I currently only make ~60k as an analyst. However, I want to affirm that I want to stay in media/entertainment and in marketing/analytics and do not want to change careers into finance or consulting or banking.
If I were to attend a part time MBA program, I would only be considering 2 schools - UCLA and USC.
My company is willing to pay some of my tuition. They would give me 5k a year, and since part time programs are 3 years, about 15k total. There is no commitment to stay with the company afterward either. All in all, I'd be looking to spend 100k over 3 years total for tuition, books, and associated fees. Given my career goals, do you think it would be worth it to pursue a part time MBA?

Not at all. I'm on the same boat as you but I'm way older: 34-year-old with 9 years of working experience as a creative. I love what I am doing right now and there are still room to grow for my career path. Originally I was thinking to pursue a master's degree in creative, however, I don't think I will get a lot out of school given that I work in the industry already, so MBA came into the plan. I am not a career switcher, but I think an MBA degree will help me to go on a management role down the road in ~10 years.
I plan to apply part-time MBA because:
1. I love what I am doing and I'd like to develop/grow in my current role without leaving my job (also because the job market is very tough right now).
2. I was finally debt-free 2 years ago, and I'd love to keep that financial freedom as much as possible.
I don't think you will be wasting your time and money, in fact, I read a lot about part-time MBA posts here, Reddit and Quora, most alumni had great experiences while attending part-time MBA programs. I'd encourage you to pursue it and think of it as a good investment for yourself. Plus, if your company is willing to pay you $5K per year and a total of $15K for 3 years? Go for it!

The Answer is definitely YES!
Go for it, MBA gives a whole new edge to Career. You will never repent after pursuing one.
The logical question here is whether you want to pursue part time MBA or full time.
Given the fact both possess some statistical difference. you have to choose among both options carefully.
Research about the Pros and Cons of both MBA types then choose.
If asking for my opinion. I will vouch for full time MBA, but the bottom line is what's more beneficial for you.
