I'm currently 50 but young looking. I graduated with a BBA in '03 with 4 years financial work experience. Reason for little financial work experience is due to my criminal record that finance companies have used to discriminate against me from working. Presently I am thinking about taking the GMAT to reset me on a career path. My passion is to work as analyst in a commercial bank.
My strategy is to get get an MBA. While in school I plan to take an internship which will build up relevant financial work experience to help me work at a bank. My criminal record which is a misdemeanor (not felony) record contains offenses go back to 1999, more than 20 years ago. I'm sure it won't be a problem since it will be sealed. As long as any employer does not do fingerprinting I will be fine with landing employment.
My concern in is the internships. I dont want to feel uncomfortable working as an intern at my age.
Let me know what you think.
