$$C = \sqrt{\frac{W}{L}}$$

Now, if you triple W and reduce L by half we get: $$C = \sqrt{\frac{3W}{\frac{L}{2}}}$$ $$= \sqrt{\frac{6W}{L}} =\sqrt{6}\sqrt{\frac{W}{L}} = \sqrt{6}C$$
