THANK YOU!
Congratulations pinkman27 on the interview invite!

You can anticipate questions such as:

1. Introduction/ walk me through your resume.
2. Why MBA? Why HKUST? Why now?
3. What are your ST and LT career goals? What is your Plan B?
4. Strengths and weaknesses?
5. How can you add value to the class?
6. Describe a time you faced challenges working with the team. How did you handle it? What was the impact? Current project you're working on, what's your role in it?
7. What is your greatest achievement ?
8. Which company you want to work in HK?

Please feel free to take a look at this BLOG

Good luck!

Hi there. Congrats on your admits.

I would say the HKUST is going to be a substantially stronger brand globally. I don’t know about India unfortunately so you will have to judge it for yourself.

There are a few interesting elements to the program and the job opportunities afterwards.

1. The first semester of your second year is either a study abroad exchange or an internship. HKUST partners with a whole bunch of top business schools including Kellogg, Yale, Wharton, LBS and others. You would get an honorary degree / diploma from the other program. You can’t use it instead of yours but it’s a cool little trick to throw on your résumé.

2. Recruiting in Hong Kong is tough. I think you probably know it and the fact that you are planning to go back should work well. Otherwise to find a job locally you have to know the language

3. The school is a lipid ways out. Your best options to live on campus because otherwise there’s nothing around. You are about a 20 minute ride in a mini bus to the closest MTR station. Living on campus will be the most economical and also advantageous solution.

I have no idea about the other school 😂😂😂

Hey pinkman27! Hope that you're interview went well! Wishing you the best.

The past interview reports don't mention much about the GBA-related questions. HKUST MBA interviews usually focus on your work experience, reasons for pursuing an MBA, and why you chose HKUST and Hong Kong. However, if the interview is at a stage where you have questions related to your short-term goals, why HKUST?, how the industry recruits, job opportunities, business or geography and your answers reflect something that relates with GBA, there might be a chance that interviewers also ask about your understanding of regional economic topics like the Greater Bay Area (GBA). While, having some knowledge about its impact could help you stand out and show your awareness of important business trends in the region.
