For AWA and Quant there is no need to prepare before the section. You can just jump right into the section with a blank workbook and good to go.
However, "I think" verbal needs some prepare time. Before the verbal section, I tend to mark A,B,C,D,E vertically, 10 ques/page, for about 30 times. I use them for RC and CR, and occasionally LONG SCs. This takes me around 1:30 mins to mark them on a blank workbook. Is there enough time to do so on the real GMAT day, i.e., between the time when the proctor signs you in to the next section and the time when the section timer starts?
Is it just me who tend to do so for the verbal section, or do others also prepare or do something similar?

You're making way too many threads and asking similar questions.
Some people simply write down the answer grid for each problem, some do it all at once. I did it on a per problem basis (sometimes I didn't need the grid as the answer was instantly identified, sometimes I had to narrow it down).
You need to do what works best for you during practice tests. Force yourself to adhere to a practice test as the real test and figure out what has the best "flow" for you.
