Is GMAT Paper Tests worth?

Question

These are some of the main verbal resources I have used, have been using or will use:
1. OG12 (done once, started 2nd round of SC and CR)
2. OG Verbal (SC and CR done, RC in progress)
3. Just bought Aristotle PDFs for RC and SC
4. Just ordered OG11 (to practice non OG12 questions)

Got an email from mba.com as a reminder of my GMAT - < 1 month left. It listed GMAT® Paper Tests! I checkout in their site and seems like it could be useful. But the site also mentions:

More than half the questions in GMAT Paper Tests can't be found in any other GMAT prep materials. Some portions of the paper tests can be found in earlier versions of the Official Guide for GMAT Review

Can anybody please tell me if I should buy these? Has anybody used them? Are the repeats annoying?

If you want additional retired GMAT questions, yes buy them.

Two warnings:

1. Older GMAT content uses very American lingo/words. This gave US folks an advantage in the past (1990s) and these paper tests date back then.

2. If you're not improving, simply doing more problems is not always the solution. Blindly studying may not net any increase and this is why we advise folks use an error log during prep.

Thanks for your input. I am not studying blindly

at least that's what I think; I may be wrong. I have spent (still spending) enough time getting (and revising) my concepts and strategy right, and I keep reviewing concepts (50-50 concepts-practice allocation). I am unsing GMAT toolkit to track my errors, but you are right I should convert them into formal error logs and then see if I can extract more info out of these. But frankly for few some-things don't come naturally. And I believe I am one of those unprivileged ones. Anyhow, I can only hope for better - I was just hoping if I practice more, maybe I can overcome that deficiency in me. https://gmatclub.com/static/posted_from.png Posted from GMAT ToolKit

So, did you decide to get GMAT paper tests?

I read somewhere on MGMAT forum that their instructors do not recommend using these tests as questions in these tests are very different as compared to the real CAT.

I decided against them, as everybody said it is perhaps not worth it. Also, I don't have time :-)

. Aristole SC/CR, MGMAT/Kaplan Question Banks and OG RCs are way too much material, which are in-progress, to cover in 2 weeks - if I can cover majority of this material, I should be happy - even if I can't I don't care ;-)

. In last 5-7 days, I will do as much GMATPrep question banks and revise as much OG as I can. Rest hope for the best :-)
