I took GMAT PREP EXAM 3-6 in that order over the last four weeks every Saturday.

I got this score
Exam 3- q49/v38 710
Exam 4 - q47/v32 650
Exam 5 - q48/v28 640
Exam 6 - q49/v28 640

My actual exam is next week, I have no idea what’s happening. I practiced more questions (70% V and 30% Q) and revised my basics over the last 4 weeks.
I only practiced OG Verbal questions.

If anybody have experience with this pls help.

Hi
GMAT prep scores are the most reliable tests available since these tests are prepared by the test makers themselves and are retired questions of the GMAT.
Seeing your scores, the Quant scores are consistent, but Verbal scores are not. If we exclude the Verbal score of first test, rest scores are consistent around 28. IMO it is best to analyze the mistakes you are making in the tests. If you are making some mistakes in a particular topic, you can focus on that. If you are having a pacing problem, you may try to take a few guesses at some intervals. There is a post in Gmatclub that helps with timing strategies.
Hope it helps.

Hi rajiskrish,

When it comes to the GMAT, improvement over the course of one's studies is rarely a 'linear' path. It's important to remember that the GMAT will give you the score that you EARN - and the V38 that you scored on Exam #3 appears to be an 'outlier' relative to the other scores (which forces the question - did you really 'earn' a V38 or did you get lucky on a bunch of 50/50 questions?). Assuming that you took these CATs in a realistic fashion that matches up with what you'll face on Test Day, it appears that your current 'ability level' is closer to a 640.

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) How have you scored on EACH of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your goal score?
5) What is your exact Test Date?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
7) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

There is a big difference between a V28 and a V38, but now is not the time to focus on that (unless you're thinking of rescheduling your test). Make sure that you have all the other important things (like timing strategy, ID...) in place and work on minimizing the number of silly mistakes you make.
