Hi, I've been recently admitted into INSEAD 2024D batch.

I read somewhere of an informal cutoff into MBB programs for a GMAT score under 720. How true is this?

I have taken the GMAT once and scored a 710. I know i can probably improve my score if i studied for it once more.

Is it worth retaking the GMAT now that I've already been admitted? If it improves my shot at getting an interview at an MBB then i might as well spend the next couple months preparing for it right?

Was never asked to put the GMAT score.

BCG does ask for it in their profile section but that is optional I think

Hello hasman404,

Hope this finds you well.

Do not worry about a retake or a cutoff. Just make the most of your time at business school.

All the best!

Couple things:

1. I attended INSEAD. I know McKinsey in their application ask for GMAT
2. I don't know how they verify (if at all)
3. I don't know anyone that got into McKinsey with <700.

So up to you. I think it sorta matters otherwise they wouldn't ask.
