Now my question is will the "without GPA degree" effect my chances at various business schools specially in UK??? Is it a pre-requisite??

hi Hussain15,

I think what you are really concerned about is the fact that you don't have any quantitative marking or result of some sort for you ICMAP certification, quite similar to the CA from ICAP. This can be considered quite normal in case of several professional certifications like CFA (they have bands), etc. Since most US b-schools require a bachelors of 4 years and LBS states "If you do not have a degree we may still consider your application if you have worked in a position with a high level of responsibility." you will need to fit one of the two criteria upon which your ICMAP certification will obviously strengthen your application. Within Pakistan, LUMS MBA requirement states the same as LBS and I remember discussing this exact question with an MBA student who did his CA without a bachelors (a while back, {and i think still}, ICAP admitted students into its foundation program right after A-levels/Inter). So since you already have a BSc, i think you have will no issues. hope that clarifies a little.

thanks MJ, that not only clarifies but also confirms that my B.Sc degree will come in use :)

LBS has replied to my query and here is what they say

"All will be required are the transcripts of your grades with or without the GPA".

Its good to hear that!!! :) Now a big confusion is over.

The US schools are the ones prissy about undergraduate qualification of students from countries like Pakistan. As you must have seen, your undergraduate degree will not be enough to apply to Stanford. Since there is no such trend for schools in UK, you should be alright.
