Is h^2 = h?

(1) h + h = h. Cancel h: h = 0. For h = 0, h^2 does equal to h. Sufficient.

(2) h - h = h. Cancel h: -h = 0 --> h = 0. For h = 0, h^2 does equal to h. Sufficient.
