IIM Ahmedabad has been facing a lot of issues with summer internships and placements recently so should someone from India still aim to pursue it

If you want to pursue your long term career in India, then IIMA has to be the best place along with IIMB and IIMC and of course ISB. 100% placement has in any case always been a myth at every school, and if IIMA is struggling to place its batch, then other schools will be having an even more difficult time.

I think what you are seeing is representative of the market conditions and not of what is happening at IIM Ahmedabad. IIM Ahmedabad is the local mafia of this country in the world of business education. So definitely go for it — as long as you are keen on working in India, as long as you are keen on establishing a career in the world of business in India, you would never go wrong with IIM Ahmedabad.
