There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
Im an Israeli male (with Israeli and Portugal citizenships). I will be coming to the program with my wife and 2 yrs old son. I speak English and Hebrew. I studied Law for undergrad, but I took a number of courses on reading financial statements and building models (DCFs, etc.).
In the last 3yrs, I have been working as a corporate lawyer - mostly leading financial rounds, M&As, IPOs, etc. In addition, Ive been consulting our family business (a small real estate and automobile group). I analyzed investment opportunities for the group, helped with agreements and negotiations.
My goal is PE (probably through MBB or investment banking, although directly will be preferred).
Ultimately, I would want to work in the EU or UK post MBA, as MBAs with no international experience find it quite hard in Israel.
BTW, I was already admitted to INSEAD (22J) and waiting for LBS’s answer in 11 days.
What are your thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

If you wanna pivot to PE then LBS might be a good fit

Thanks. Why?
I have to say I looked at the linkedin page of many shops, INSEAD is by far stronger (much more insead alumni work at them compared to LBS).

Congrads!
I'm in a similar situation as you are (I'm an Israeli that got accepted to INSEAD and is waiting for results from LBS). LBS would be a better decision for you because London is the Finance capital of the world. Being in London during your education would be a good opportunity to network with local alumni and reach opportunities. It also has an internship opportunity that might be needed if you are trying to do an industry shift into the finance industry. The internship itself is also another good way to find a job (after internships you usually get offers if you perform well).
Good luck!
Note: For me INSEAD would be the better choice probably for many reasons. One of which is that INSEAD has a stronger network in Israel.
