Hello GMAT Club Community,

I would like to know if it's useful to use OG 10 when there are so many updated versions available. In addition I also have OG 2015 and OG 2016. Is it better to use one of the newer guides or they should be used in conjunction?

Also, I'm planning to study the verbal concepts from Foundations of GMAT Verbal, 5th Edition by Manhattan and Quant from Kaplan GMAT Premiere 2016. Are these resources sufficient to strengthen theory required for the test?

Hi
The OG 10, 2015, 2016 are enough for practice. You don't need to buy the latest versions. You can find the latest OG in the following link:

I would suggest to study Quant also from the Mgmat guides apart from Verbal.

Hi,

OGs have official questions that are always trustworthy for practicing. Also, Official explanations at the back are also very useful. Though, almost all the OG problems you can find on GMAT club, it is good to practice some questions from hard copies. It gives you time to relax. New OGs have few new questions of the previous years, so use them in conjunction.

You have more than enough resources for preparation. So best of luck. Also, if you find any explanation difficult to understand, search the question on GMAT club.

Hi SalmanAK,

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

To start - In your profile, you list a 700/Q42/V42. Is that an Official GMAT Score or a practice CAT Score?

Studies:
1) How long have you studied?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) How have you scored on EACH of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your goal score?
5) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
7) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich
