I'd like to say that I want to parlay my consulting and technology experience into a new business, and want a MBA to help do that...but is that a valid application goal? I'd like to discuss this on the board.

I think many people put starting their own business as their long term goal. But usually they have a short term goal that will help them get the experience/connections or whatever to start that business. Such as, I want to work in MC covering the retail sector and then eventually start my own retail business. That example was total crap but you get the idea
