Is Manhattan onlinetest a good representative for real score

Question

I take the Exam1 and get 44 on Quant which is lower than what I get on GMATPREP and actual test. how are your comments on their Quant and Verbal question? Is it too hard or too easy or reliable ?

I thought the quant questions on Mahattan GMAT are similar to what you see on the real exam, but the way the CAT calcluates the score may not be.

or mgmat 2?

I found mgmat harder.. In MGMAT 2 I scored ok recently.. But i think their tests are 30-40 pts harder.

i actually thought the verbal was not bad... quite representative ... unlike Kaplan....

don't give up... keep working on problems on OG and verbal review... and once you get a hang of it, try the cat again!

I first try the GMATPREP 2 months ago without studying anything and don't know what type of question I will meet at that time I got 600 with 49 quant and 23 verbal then after study 1 month , I take GMATPREP again I got 50 Quant and 17 Verbal lower than first time

On actual test , I get even lower than that 17 in verbal :cry:

on PR test I got around 29-35 on verbal On real test, I have found that if I do wrong on first 3-4 question ( which I think I do ) it will start throwing many short SC question at me. which I consider harder than 3line SC because I can't eliminate any choice due to its brevity. :cry:

Cycle of low score start and I don't know how to deal with it. Another observation from GMATPREP is if I can do first few question correct long SC question start coming. Everything will be fine and Verbal score surge to 36-40 DO you have any suggestion on how to deal with short SC ? looks like there are thousand of minute rules that go beyond my knowledge. yeah... find a list of idioms (Barron's GMAT book, MMGMAT SC book, or PR Grammar Smart book) and just memorize them. Idioms will usually help you in short SC questions.

Also keep working on OG and Verbal Review. If you can get 70% or better correct under reasonable time, then you will improve from your current score.

Did you try 1000 SC? They have many examples for practice. Some of their answers have been said to be questionable, but after a lot of practice you would be able to recognise them anyway!

1st : 650 32 on Verbal
2nd: 620 35 on Verbal
3rd: 680 37 on Verbal
I took all three a couple of weeks ago. Somehow, I had a hard time with quant sections. From the Challenge sets, my recent average was around 88-90%, and I scored 48-50 on the GMATprep. I chose to believe that the scores on MGMAT's quant sections are not reliable reflections of my ability in quant. Hahaha Hey.. it is good for your mental well-being.

It was good to see that my verbal scores were in a positive slope.
Since I am taking the real exam this Saturday, I should be able to provide you another empirical data on the correlation between the MGMAT and the real GMAT. Wish me good luck!

Saturday may be too late since I take it on that day too! My verbal score is very fluctuate I can't predict at all what will be the result MY RESULT GMATPREP V 17 , 23 , 33(retake test1) , 41( retake test2) MGMAT test1 21 test2 33 test3 39 Princton PP1-29 PP2-35 PP3-38 PP4-33 Official test on Jun 27 Q 50 V 13 :cry:

and last test on GMATPREP just 1 hour ago Q49 V39

get 4 short SC all wrong after the hardest and longest RC I have ever done on GMAPREP Now I start to prey for luck

hope to get type of questions that I'm not allergic to hope not to meet any short SC hope not to meet weird AWA questions hope not to get Q lower than 50

Just come back from test center ( 5xx, Q 48,V16)
I can't believe myself. I got even lower score than last time.
and again verbal the second lowest score I have ever get
( the first lowest score is on 1st official test)

Quant is very hard and I had to guess the last 5 questions.
While verbal start off very good, the question getting harder until
I met her(the indian lady who write political literature) very long RC on#12
and Maternal species (very long RC also) on #25
after these, the questions start changing to the way I'm scared.
every SC comes in short form and the last RC is too easy
and too easy means score is in suck range :cry:

I think about canceling the score but I still push the button to see score
I'm sitting stare at monitor for about 20 minutes till the lady who take care
test center come asking me " are you done?"

I don't even know what to do next .
should I stop thinking about MBA or keep fighting on GMAT ?
but at least I have to change plan to start on this coming spring 2007
to fall 2007 :cry:

and I see Bold face CR after the lady-Anagua or something that write literature that's make me think that I come on the right track BF means high score but I'm wrong and then nightmare comes :cry:
