Hi everyone. Please help me. I am confused. I have 3 questions.
1:
Is it more beneficial to go straight to MBA after college or get experience first? Would not having an experience lower my chances of being accepted in schools?
2: I want to be a business analyst that's why I want to take MBA.
I just graduated this year with BS Industrial Engineering in the Philippines. I worked for 2 months as a Business Analyst there but eventually had to migrate to United States cuz of my family. I love everything about my previous job from day 1.
Do you think I can get a Business Analyst job here without having to get MBA first? What are consulting firms looking for? I was thinking that maybe I'm at a disadvantage here because firms would think I don't have a grasp yet of how business is in the US since I'm new here.
3:
Can you please tell me the difference between a strategy consultant vs. IT consultant? All I know is I love looking at current systems (diagrams, business process models...etc.), spotting problems, proposing solutions, improving systems. Would I be able to do that as a strategy consultant or IT consultant? Plus, I don't like to deal with corporate politics that much, I'm wondering if I'll be in that kind of atmosphere a lot when I'm a strategy consultant cuz I'm dealing with the bosses. Btw, I think I kinda like IT. But I'm not really sure what's in there yet. All I see now is the outside view of IT from the programmers I worked with.
Thank you for reading my long post.
