Hello GMAT Guru's,

I am aiming to get into one of the EMBA programs (2019) in San Francisco Bay Area and seems like most local programs here have their first application deadline is around December 2018.

Is giving GMAT in October 2018 too late for securing an admission in 2019 ?

Hey SandeepU ,

Since the deadline for the programs you are targeting will be in December 2018, I think it is perfectly fine to give exam by October.

This way you will have ample amount of time to work on your applications.

Personally, I would prefer to give the exam by Aug end or September so that if required, you can always have time to take another try.

We quite agree with the response above :-)

Technically, if you are targetting a December 2018 deadline, you could always take the GMAT in October. However, ideally, you should look at a late August attempt so if you do not have your desired score, you could always retake the test. That said, do not hurry things. Take the test when you are ready :-)
