Thanks both for your answers.

Kidderek, I'm actually planning on doing that. Just using half of the book nowm then jumping to something els. I've read great stuff about the Manhattan prep material, so I'm thinking in getting those.

Just to not do something dumb, I want the Manhattan GMAT, the ones with the red cover, correct? Also, which ones should I get. Any recommendations?

Thangs again.

You need to do full practice tests as well, not just the OG. I don't understand what you mean by your comment about your experience with the PR book, but I am using those tests and am finding them to be very good. Also be sure to download the GMATPrep tests from mba.com.

Hi Jane. I realized after reading/solving the PR book that I wasn't being prepared as good as I needed in order to achieve the score I'm looking for. It helped a lot in understanding the way the GMAT works, but I find some of their ways to work only on intermediate problems. Also, I find it faster to solve a lot of problems by traditional techniques, ie, quant.

After I finished, I found out that this is somewhat a generalized opinion.

That's why I'm was curious to see if there was a step up from the OG.

But that's just my opinion, of course. :)

I'm about to start solving their cats, though, since I've read they are pretty accurate. Question, though. I have also some from the 2005 edition. Do you think those work too?

Have a good one.

I would recommend the Manhattan Review (blue cover) quantitative book. It's got a solid problem section, with some particularly useful probability and combinatorics questions.

I would recommend the Kaplan 800 book if you're looking for some more difficult problems with good explanations.
