Hi yezz, could you expand on this please:

/X-3 / = 3-X IF AAND ONLY IF X-3< 0

obviously i can prove the above picking numbers, but was wondering if it is a rule or can be derived somehow?

Thanks

E

Simplify the question to get
Is +/- (X-3) = 3-X?

Obviously, -(X-3) = 3-X

Statement 1: X=0 INSUFF
Statement 2: X= negative, but not information about X-3

Taken together, still insufficient.

My answer is also B.

From 2 we get x is negative and thus x-3 is negative.
Thus sqrt is 3-x
