Is the MGMAT course worth the $$$?

Thank you AbhiJ. That was a really helpful response. Right now I have the MGMAT series, and I am currently taking their Foundation of GMAT math workshops. I am not very good with self-study, so I thought the course might give me an extra boost. I will take your advice though. Thanks!

If you're not good with self study then a course might be the way to go. But like earlier said, to come from a 350 to score a 680+ is probably a longer road then a few months.

Something to consider in your decision, is if you already own the books, they may not require you to purchase them as part of the cost of the course. So look into it...

I agree with AbhiJ about self-studying before taking a course. I am currently taking a Veritas Prep course and half of the people are new to the GMAT. And they look like a deer looking into headlights. LOL. Since I have self-studied for a few months, I am gasping the material better but I still have a long way to go. The course goes by very fast even though Veritas Prep has math and verbal on separate days. The good thing about the courses is that you have a instructor to explain the question to you in person and some people learn better that way. But I agree with you about the price. My friend told me to look at the course as an investment. He's right but my bank account is $1485 less. LOL.

Note: The Manhattan GMAT customer service people told me that they would only deduct the costs of your books if you bought them from their website. Also, Manhattan GMAT already updated their books to the fifth edition so the fourth edition books are "outdated."
