I was thinking of going to NYU's part-time program since its right around the corner from my office. My company also pays a decent amount of the tuition if I go part-time.
Roughly around the time I start, id hopefully just be finishing up my CFA III. However, I will still need an extra year or so to meet the work experience requirement.
I have heard though that part-timers do not get the same rep as full time MBAs. I read somewhere that some schools do not let part-time MBA's participate in some career events among other disadvantages.
Personally, I don't mind working and going to school. I may decide to go full time after my first year or so part-time, but I'm not sure.

Take a look at the Part Time subforum. There's a wealth of info there. In fact, it's more like the PT/Stern subforum. Also, forget the idea of switching from PT to FT after a year, it's not allowed.

I think, but I'm not sure, that the only significant drawback of going part-time, besides the obvious, is the fewer career opportunities and resources provided for PT students.
But if you're working anyway, with no burning desire to switch jobs, then I don't see how this is that big of a problem. I personally think that career services at business schools is over-rated for most people outside of MC/IB/PE/VC/IM. Granted, most people in b-school pursue these fields.
