Hi visram04,

Is your Official Test Date still on August 12th? If so, then you have just a little over a week to continue studying.

I'm concerned a bit at some of the inconsistencies in how you took your CATs. By not fully dealing with the AWA section, taking the CATs at home and taking them at different times of day, you have not truly trained to face the exact 'event' that you'll face on Test Day. At your current scoring level, the GMAT becomes really 'sensitive' to little mistakes, and if you make too many on Test Day, then you won't be able to hit your score goals.

You ask some interesting follow-up questions, but none of those questions (nor their answers) is really relevant to the short study time that you have remaining. If you wanted to get into all of those little details, then you would need far more study time than you've allotted.

What do you have planned out for these last 10 days?

Hi Rich

I'm more inclined towards postponing the test date. Just thinking if 2 months from now will be a good time or not.
I've to decide before tomorrow, as it would be 7 days before the exam date.

Regards

Hi visram04,

2 months of additional study time would be quite useful - you could learn all of the little details that interest you and take plenty of additional CATs in a realistic and test-like fashion.

When are you planning to apply to Business School?
Do you know which Schools you're planning to apply to?

I agree with Rich that postponing your Exam date for 2 months would be quite helpful. Further, it would be helpful to know what B-schools you are interested in applying to - since your goal of scoring 750+ is rather ambitious. That being said, your steady improvement in your practice exams proves that you are gaining a better understanding of the strategy as well as gaining more insight into how the concepts are tested.

On the Quantitative side, likely you just need to stay fresh on the fundamentals while spending some time on the more difficult questions (to get a feel for how the test makers can make the questions more difficult using the relatively easy concepts). Additionally, spend some time working Data Sufficiency problems. These are inherently more difficult, and in many ways require you to utilize some Critical Reasoning skills. On the other hand, on the Verbal portion, you will want to spend some time solidifying the underlying foundations. There are a number of resources you can use to assist you in this effort.
