Do you guys think this would be viewed as 'cheat the exam' by Adcom? if no, would appreciate what are the sound explanation I should give for this incidence?

Hi Janejanee,

As bb pointed out, although this is a "policy violation", it isn't a "serious policy violation". This is not something you need to worry about at all.

No additional essay required, as long as you don't do things like starting a fight at the test center or copying GMAT questions. :)

I probably would not attract any attention to it. The schools will likely not even see it really when they match your report with the actual score.

Hi bb,

Thank you so so much for your thoughts! this is a big revelation for me as I've been stressing over this issue for months!
Really do appreciate this. Do you think this is something I should write an additional essay on to explain the whole situation to Adcom, or it is unnecessary?
and whether 'confused by the unclear sign at test center' is a solid reason? (it's true though)

Thank you very much in advance
