I scored q49 in gmatprep last week but today i gave one of the veritas prep cat and got q42.. Earlier too i was getting 42 in veritas but scored 47 in gmatprep. Also i found veritas questions quite different from gmatclub questions and gmatprep ones. Shall i stop giving veritas exam because its too different from the actual thing asked on gmat?? Also i am thinking to buy exam pack 1 now. Shall i go for it?? I am gaining a lot of confidence through gmat club quizzes but today's score let me down. Also in verbal section i got 10 sc questions only and 17 cr questions along with 2 very long passages.

Hi joyzubby28,
I have heard that the algorithm is not very good, but from own experience, the
questions are quite good. Recently, heard of a case of somebody who scored a
Q51(with 14 questions wrong)
What I would suggest you to do is take these tests specifically to find out what
your weak areas are? Don't delve too much into the scores.
IMO, Only GMATPrep tests are a reliable indicator of your current level. Take
those tests from time to time to figure out where you stand.

Also you can club it with the Manhattan tests to see where do you stand. Typically Manhattan would be even tougher exams and scoring will be on the lower side but they will kind of give you good idea of section wise abilities and where you are going wrong.
Use them only from timing and analysis perspective and not to judge or predict the final score.
