why is statement 2 not sufficient ?
Doesnt it mean that mod of x = +ve ?
>0

1) x=5 , |x|=5 or |x|>0
2) x=-5 , |x|=-(-5)=5 or |x|>0

The absolute value of a number is always more than or equal to 0 (|a| ≥ 0), so |x| > 0 simply means that x ≠ 0.
