Initial Analysis

Is x^2 -x > 0 ?
Is (x) (x-1) > 0 ?

(x) (x-1) > 0 ?
Possibilities
+ + Yes
+ - No
- + NO
- - Yes

from 1 -
If x > 0, the first 2 possibilities come into play. x - 1 > 0 --> x > 1 then yes, but if x - 1 < 0 , then x < 1 then no.

So, options can be BCE.

from 2, (x) (x^2 +1) > 0
Possibilities are a) x > 0 and x^2 + 1 > 0, implies x > 0 and x^2 > -1.
b) x < 0 and x^2 + 1 < 0, implies, x^2 < -1, which is not possible if x < 0 .
Thus, 2 is just a restatement of statement 1, namely x > 0.

So, B and C ruled out. Answer is option E.
