(1) \(-5*x^{99}\) is positive.
(2) \(-5*x^{100}\) is negative.

1. \(-5*x^{99}\) is positive, \(x^{99}\) <0, x<0 since power 99 is odd - Suff
2. \(-5*x^{100}\) is negative, x can be any number (except 0) since power 100 is even - NS

Answer (A)
