Statement 1: x = 40 is not enough to find out whether x is greater than 75% of y.
Insufficient
Statement 2 : y = 50 is also insufficient for the same reason as statement1
When we combine both the equations, we can find out whether the x is greater than 75% of y or not.
So C is the answer
