(1) \((x – 3)^2 > 0\)
This stmt implies either x-3>0 or -(x-3)<0
hence either x>3 or x<-3
no unique range of x. x can either be positive or negative
thus not sufficient
(2) \(x^3 – 1 > 0\)

for this stmt to be true x^3 has to be greater than 1
x has to be positive .
Hence B is sufficient

1. Statement is true for all real numbers except 3
Insufficient
2. Statement is true for all values of x greater than 1
hence x will be always positive
Sufficient

I) LHS side is a square , so LHS can be positive as well as negative, hence x < 0 or x>0 NOT SUFF.
II)\(x^3 >1\) hence x>1 , x has to be positive. SUFF.

Answer B.
