(I) x² - y² > 1
(II) x/y + 1 > 0

Can someone explain in detail? Thanks

Is x + y > 0 ?

stmt 1 :
x^2 - y^ 2 > 1
(x + y)( x-y) > 1
both (x + y),( x-y) are +ve or both (x + y),( x-y) are -ve . Insufficient

stmt 2 :
x + y / y > 0
both (x+y),y are +ve or (x+y),y are -ve. Insufficient.

Combinig Insufficient. AnS E
