2 is even intiger , z is surely a fraction................suff

from 2

z could be intiger eg: 3 or it could be a fraction...insuff

Product of integer and integer is always an integer.
In 2z, 2 is already an integer, so if z is an integer then 2z will be an integer too, which is not allowed. So z should definitely be a fraction.
Now we can consider special fractions with denominator 2, so that 2z is reduced to z. But again, if 2z is not an integer, then z has to be some fraction.

Stmt 1 is sufficient.

For stmt 2, z can be 1/2 or 1 and so on. So insufficient.
