I wanted to ask If pursuing ISB would be a wise choice for me considering my profile.
10th:90%
12th:87%
Bcom hons: 7 cgpq
Post diploma in financial planning from canada: 3.1/4 gpa
24 months experience: Finance associate In india
20 months experience: insurance and claims in canada
1 year gap year
Pretty confident in GMAT
Eca:
Regular volunteer work , college team captains.
If I really score well in the exam is there good chances for ISB?
Please provide ur two cents

The test score is just one of the elements that contribute to the overall evaluation. While I would say that you should continue to work hard on the test prep, your rationale for pursuing an MBA, so soon after your previous post-diploma (Master’s?) in Financial Planning, will need to be well thought out. On the bright side, Indian B-schools do give preferential treatment to candidates with meaningful international exposure. So, if you can stitch together a compelling narrative that highlights your resilience, strengths, growth progression and potential value-add to the ISB cohort, I don’t see why you wouldn’t be given strong consideration. Solid preparation is key in your case. I do not fully understand the broader context of your career decisions and your return to India, but should you want more personalised feedback, feel free to schedule a one-on-one discussion. Also, be thorough with your post-PGP career plan, as it is another important factor determining your readiness for an MBA in the eyes of the admissions committee.

If you score well on the GMAT, put forth a set of compelling essays that aptly highlight your strengths and logically portray your career goals, and explain the gap reasonably well, you will have a good chance of getting an interview call.
