ISB essays 2015 released: PGP essays undergo some changes
The ISB essays 2015 have been released by ISB on May 2, 2015, a little ahead of the usual time each year. For the third year running, ISB has played around with the essay set, changing some of the essays, while retaining the core ones. The ISB essays 2015 might seem like a significant change, but they are really more of the same. GyanOne looks at the essays and provides a brief analysis of each.

Essay 2: Describe a (only one) defining moment in your personal / professional life when you had to make a risky decision, and explain what you did, why and the outcome?
OR

Hi AakashAggy,
Perhaps you logged in to the application earlier. All essays, including the scholarship essay, are now visible. In case you are not able to access any part of the application, you should reach out to the ISB PGP team directly. Technical issues can happen now and then and you will get complete help from them.
On the optional essay, ISB itself makes it explicit this year that writing it is really optional. In terms of leaving it blank, it is perfectly ok to do so, but before doing that ensure that you have not left any aspect of your profile unaddressed. At the same time, do not repeat information in the optional essay either. In the past, some applicants made the optional essay an addendum to other essays (especially the goals essay), and that is something you should never do. In case you are still unsure on what to use the optional essay for or whether you should use it at all, contact us and we will help.
