Hi everyone, I applied in R1 last year and was rejected. I just received an email from ISB asking me to book a 10 minute feedback session (by filling a google form) in which they will be able to provide me feedback on my application. Wanted to understand what all questions I should ask to make the discussion fruitful? I am planning on applying again this year. Thanks so much!

rajat1995 this is such a great opportunity ! Since it will to be a very short call, I would ask you to quickly gauge your standing in the following areas through this call:

1. Career progression and if your goals are plausible

2. Personal narrative (whether your essays were strong enough, or you failed to create intrigue completely)

3. GMAT

Suggest you go over these for ideas before your get on the call

Guys, best go cover area-wise, the same way ISB looks at your application,
- Acads
- GMAT/GRE
- Quality of work-ex (did you demonstrate leadership potential, initiative, etc.). Also, amount of work-ex
- Essays, more importantly around the goals, did they make sense?
- Interview performance (communication skills, team-building capabilities, articulation of goals, etc)

The more pointed questions you ask, the better it is for you. Hence, essential to know your own application inside out.
ISB would provide largely generic feedback and might ask you not to change essays or application. However, do make tweaks to the app/essays. In addition to the reapplicant essay, ideally one of the examples in essay 1 should change.

Overall, don't fret over this call too much, you are not being evaluated. No need to 'prepare' a lot.

Cheers,
Manan
