I am currently working as an Immigration Officer under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Last year, I was working as a field officerBut I feel stagnated in my current role. I am planning to do an MBA from ISB. Below is my profile:
1. Total work ex: 5 years in present government service
2. 10th: 89; 12th: 91
3. Graduated from KJ Somaiya College of Engineering (EXTC, 2014)

What do you want to attain from an MBA at this point? Though you did not answer it, this is probably the most important aspect of your application. Business schools do not want the MBA to be the first instance in which you are trying to make a drastic switch to a new domain or learn new concepts. They will expect you have done ample research on your short-term and long-term career prospects, especially since you would be among the more experienced applicants. Show that you have a clear vision of what you would like to do. MBA essays are about passion; they are about how ready you are to change a problem in the world or seize an opportunity that will impact your life positively. To answer this question well, your passion has to reflect through your goals narrative.
There is a general notion regarding government or public sector jobs that they often lack autonomy, diverse responsibilities, and opportunities for rapid growth. Admissions committees may also hold this view (who can tell!). However, it is your responsibility to break through these stereotypes and demonstrate your unique qualities. It is not possible to give a complete answer by simply reading your profile description. Instead, show what makes you special and how you go above and beyond the expected. Emphasize your initiative, adaptability, and exceptional results. Highlight your eagerness to learn and grow by continuing your education, acquiring new skills, and tackling challenging projects. Remember that adcoms can only fully understand your profile by reviewing your application materials, such as resume, essays, and letters of recommendation. Make the most of these documents.
Your GMAT situation is not clear. Target a high score if you are serious about ISB.
