Hi Community,
I am requesting you an honest take on my profile for ISB admissions.
Acads -
10th- 93.20%
12th - 68.70% (This haunts me! )
Grad - 8.9 CGPA - Bachelors in Mech Engg (Pune Uni) - Tier2/3 college
Experience-
1. Infosys Ltd - Campus Placement. worked there for a year. - mostly in Tech side - Python and Automation
2. UPSC/allied Exams Prep - 1.5 years gap for it. Written 2 mains and was selected for SEBI Grade A interview. Didn't make it to final list.
3. A Small scale manufacturing Firm - worked there for 2Y and some months.
4. Accenture -Present org. I work As Senior Analyst on Tech side.
All in All, as I write this, I have around 4 years of Work-ex in IT/ITES
Extracurriculars-
Coming to my another Pain Area - Where are the Spikes? Do I even have it? Below is my Extra-Curriculars and let me know.
1. I am a member and have served as VP membership in Toastmasters Club.
2. I have participated and led Accenture's CSR initiatives (eg. NGO Visit, Coordination and Agenda Setting)
3. I learnt German last year (B1/B2) level
4. I do Sports once in a while - eg. Trekking during Monsoon etc.
Importantly, My motivation for MBA -
1. I need a domain change after spending years in tech. I want to see business side of things.
2. Honestly put, I need a better revenue source for living. (Not for extravagance but for Security)
3. With So much diversity of knowledge I possess because of my career trajectory , I feel myself underutilised. I wish to put this to some use.
What roles I am eyeing post ISB? - 1. Consulting 2. Product Management. 3. There is no 3rd
That Said, Could you please provide your valuable inputs on below questions? (No sugarcoating)
A. Is it Possible to get into ISB for PGP program with this profile?
B. What all improvements I should do to Strengthen my Profile?
C. Specifically for consulting, Since I don't have any experience in it, How should I start preparing about it before I get into any college?
