Khushii.sharma,

While there are definite bright spots and differentiating elements in your profile, you should aim to get to a GNAT FE score of 645 or above.

Non-Traditional background + Female Applicant with a score of 645, you will have a competitive chance of making it to ISB.

Once you have the apt GMAT score, feel free to reach out to us if you seek help with the application.

Cheers and all the very best !

Hi Khushii.sharma,

You should retake the GMAT and aim for a 655+. August end is a good time to take the GMAT but in case an improvement does not take place still, you can always move your application to Round 2.

Here’s a structured, step-by-step approach to help you push through:

1. Consolidate your concepts
Revisit all the conceptual material you’ve covered so far and work on strengthening it.
If you're still struggling with certain topics, consider investing in a solid prep course. Keep in mind: while the official material is excellent for practice, it’s not designed for teaching concepts from scratch.

2. Re-attempt all previously incorrect questions
Review your mistakes from earlier practice. Understand why you got them wrong and how to avoid those errors going forward.

3. Practice with a new set of high-difficulty questions
Use either official sources or reliable third-party material to build deeper familiarity with challenging questions.

4. Practice consistently over the next few weeks
Every couple of weeks, go back and re-attempt your earlier incorrect questions. Continue revisiting weak areas in your conceptual understanding along the way.

By diligently following these four steps over a few focused weeks, you’ll likely find yourself performing at a significantly higher level.

All the best!

Hi all, could someone please help evaluate my profile and recommend if it is safe to apply for round 1 of the ISB PGP course?

24 F, working as a PR professional in a top MNC (PR Agency) for the last 3.5 years. Top performing individual with multiple A-list clients and award-winning work to show for. I've taken year-on-year promotions as an individual contributor and am on track to be promoted to a managerial position next year.

Top Skills - Project Management, Integrated Marketing, Consumer and B2B Communications, Client Servicing, Media and Influencer Relations

UG - B. A. (H) Journalism and Mass Communications from Delhi University - CGPA 6.2/10

12th - PCM - 85%

10th - 89.3%

To make up for my academic scores, I attempted the GMAT today and got 595. While it's below average, with my strong work experience and credible referrals from bosses and clients alike available, do I have a case for getting admitted in Round 1? Is it advisable to retake the GMAT by the end of August, before the September 14 deadline? If yes, how can I achieve an 80-100 point increase in 4 weeks? My weak areas are DS questions in DI and NP questions in Quant. Verbal seems to be my strongest suit with a breakup of V84, Q79, D76 (Temp scores as of this morning).

Hi Khushii.sharma,

Given a 3.5 years of progressive experience in PR, client servicing, and award-winning campaigns it will be well valued by ISB, given its emphasis on leadership and marketing-focused roles.

That said, with a GMAT Focus score of 595, a retake is very important. ISB’s competitive range generally begins around 645+, with 665+ being safer. Since you already have one attempt behind you a focused 2 weeks effort can definitely deliver the required jump.

We recommend targeting a retake before the Round 1 deadline, as a stronger score will offset the modest undergrad CGPA and significantly improve your chances. Feel free to reach out to ISBmantra for a free profile evaluation.

Best Wishes!
