The more the merrier applies to GMAT score as well BUT only to an extent. I suggest you must target above 680 or so.

Exceeding the median score is what you should target. So, look at a 675+. Needless to say, this is only one aspect of the overall application. Focusing on producing a set of compelling essays will be equally crucial.
