I am 24F, did engineering in Computer Science from good college. Wanted to apply in ISB Round 3 but got a low GMAT score.
Please help decide on should I continue with applying or not?
GMAT score(unofficial) - 595
Undergrad- 7.7 cgpa (77%)
12th- 91.2%
I have 1.4 yrs of experience at MBB (analytics role [backend role]), then a gap of 3 months(had left my job) and then currently 11 months of experience a big reputed company.
By April '26 I will have total 2.6 yrs of experience.
Should I apply this time or wait for next year since there is little time left to improve my GMAT score till the R3 deadline.
Pls guide.

I would suggest to let it pass for this time. Focus on your GMAT prep over the next 12 weeks to significantly boost your score (the more the better). Also work towards bettering your experience quality at your workplace through right projects and getting the right kind of exposure.

Nothing new but just to add my two cents. Take a year off and work on your gmat. Ideally at least around ISB’s median of 675. This will give you atleast another year of exp by the time you apply and 1.5 years of exp by the time you join. The exp and the higher gmat plus an ex MBB role will add a lot more to your profile. Applying this year will only force you to write another essay for a reapplicant.
You’re also quite early in, so don’t worry about FOMO, you are in a good spot, just a strong GMAT will really turn the tables in your favour.
On a side note, if GMAT is a little challenging, why not try the GRE. The relative difference in the exam style might give you an edge on one over the other. There are mocks you can give either third party or official that will give you a better idea of which exam suits your skills a little better and then double down on it.
