Hi folks,
ISB Round 2 deadline is on Dec 4th, 2022.
I have my GMAT on 23rd November and I am expecting around 630-650 in the exam.
I am an engineer male candidate with 4 years of work exp as a product manager and i am confident I will be able to convey story in the essays. My profile is good with good leadership positions in college and also extra-curriculars.
I want to know if the GMAT score is on the lower side.
Would it make sense to re-take GMAT for a 700+ and apply in round 3.
In general, is R3 more competitive than R2? Any advantages in applying earlier and disadvantages in applying later?
Hi there! Would you believe I was in a very similar situation last year after I scored a 680 on my GMAT. I delayed my application, scored a 720 this year, and received a scholarship for round 1.
Here's some things to note:
Carlson's average GMAT is 690, it's average GPA is 3.45, and its average work experience is 5 years. Because you would fall in the lower band in at least two of those areas, it might make most sense to pause, spend more time bumping up your GMAT score, and better guaranteeing your place, with a possibly scholarship.
If you score is high enough in round 3, you should be able to get a place.
Good luck and let us know if you need any counsel in how to bump up your score. If so, let us know your quant/verbal breakdown.
