How was your experience regarding profile evaluation of stage 1 last year. How is their intake and selection rules
Posted from my mobile deviceSo from my experience, if you have decent 10th, 12th, and undergrad scores, you have a good chance in stage 1.
If the adcom members find even a small spike in your application (by spike means something that stands out from the rest be it acads or extracurriculars or essay or anything else), they will be interested in knowing how your perform in GMAT and hence will shortlist you for the next round.
From the people I know, 3/4 got shortlisted for the next round. It's a small sample size but I've heard around 60-70% make it past round 1. Round 2 has the most filtering.
If you are an engineer, you need more than one spike to shine out as there are many who have a similar profile.
