Hey I just applied for the first round of the ISB-YLP
Please help with profile evaluation and areas of improvement
Indian Male, 21 year old, Engineer from NITK-Surathkal
Gmat-760(Q-51,V41,IR-8,AWA-5)
CGPA at the time of applying : 8.30/10
12th State Board : 93%
10th CGPA : 10/10
Work experience:
Incoming Software Analyst at Citi Bank ( May 2021), work will mainly be IT related
Data Science Intern at Water Sustainability Startup (2 months)
Clubs and PoRs
1. Social Media Head of Fine Arts Club in college
2. Head of Business Society, ACM NITK
3. Product Manager at student managed ERP Portal of NITK
4. Social Media Head of Theraview, a mental health initiative
Competitions and Awards
1) Impact Investing Competition by PEVC, Utah
2) Won 2 Case study competitions and hackathons
3) Part of MUN Organising Teams and won a few awards
Hobbies
Massive Football fan. Debating and MUNs and have a keen interest in the news. Also Make stick figure based comics as a creative outlet

Thanks for reaching out.
sticklemanstudies, here is our assessment:
- Your GMAT is solid. The Citi brand will further enhance your resume significantly. Is your work going to be on analytics or pure IT?
- You should probably stick with a goal related to product management. The social impact thing is not aligned with your profile and may create more issues than benefits.
- If you get through YLP stage 1, you have pretty decent chances of advancing further thereon.
