Hello all,
Got an interesting situation here.
So, I'm a Director of College Counseling, working with an organization that is beginning to go digital. I work in Boston (Newton, near BC, to be most specific) and have every intention of staying here for the long haul, as I love this city to death. In stating that, I was wondering if you all had an idea of which school would be best for me?
I could complete UF in 16 months, while IU and BC would likely take 24-28 months. UF is also the cheapest and sandwiched in between IU and BC as far as national rankings go. Nevertheless, BC should have a much stronger pull and name up here, though, no (I also feel like BC has a stronger rep than perhaps either of these schools nationally, in spite of the rankings)? I'm also ambivalent on how I feel about the idea of taking classes from 7-9 or 7-9:30 a couple of times per week versus doing everything online. Part of me likes the idea of being in a classroom, but part of me also likes the idea of not having to worry about getting to class on time and balancing work/school logistics (but again, I live/work right by BC, so it's really not THAT big of an issue).
Ultimately, I guess it really just comes down to bang for my buck and ROI. What do you all think? If I don't stay with this org forever, I will shift back to working in schools and likely aim for being a principal or working in upper-level policy. Just an FYI.
