0.60X + 0.20Y = 0.55 (X+Y)
0.60X - 0.55X = 0.55Y - 0.20Y
0.05X = 0.35Y
5X = 35Y
X = 7Y

Jack - 150
Jill - 1050

Ria

Hey riuu I guess your process is right, but I think you reversed the answer, Jack should be 1050 and Jill should be 150, plz check once

Jack: K
Jill: L

60% K + 20% L = 55% (K+L)

=> \(\frac{60}{100} * K + \frac{20}{100} * L = \frac{55}{100} * K+ \frac{55}{100} * L\)

=> \(\frac{5}{100} K = \frac{35}{100} L\)

=> \(\frac{K}{L} = \frac{35}{5} = 7\)

From the answer choices
K (Jack) = 1050
L  (Jill) = 1050
