In 1st hour, no. of gift boxes = 3
In 2nd & 3 hour, no. of gift boxes = 2*2 = 4
In 4th hour, no. of gift boxes = 5
Average = (3 + 4 + 5)/4 = 12/4 = 3
IMO Option B

Total boxes = 3 + 2+ 2 + 5 = 12 boxes
Time = 4 hr
Average rate = 12 / 4 = 3 boxes per hour
