INSEAD's Round 1 deadline for the Jan 2020 Intake is just around the corner. With only 10 days left, some of you might be wondering whether your application will be ready to be submitted, or whether you should postpone it and apply in Round 2. I just wanted to share a note of encouragement to those of you in this situation.
As you may know, the biggest bottleneck in the application is the LoRs, as it is the piece in the application process you have the least influence on.
If your recommenders already submitted their LoRs, or they are completely on-board and will for sure submit their recommendations by the Round 1 deadline, then the only thing stopping you from applying in Round 1 is your availability to complete all essays, resume and the online application (assuming all tests - e.g. GMAT, TOEFL - have already been taken care of).
Each round, I work with applicants who contact me just one week before the deadline to review their applications. In some rare and extreme cases, some of them had barely started working on their applications, and the only thing they had was a resume they used several years ago when they were applying for jobs, and some ideas on how to approach the essays.
Even in these extreme cases, due to their hard work and dedication, they were able to eventually submit strong applications and get accepted to INSEAD!
Therefore, if you are determined to submit your application by Round 1, it is still perfectly feasible. All that matters is how much time you can allocate to the application these final days before the deadline.
Feel free to PM me or email me directly ([email protected]) for an opinion about the status of your application.
Good luck to everyone!
Warm regards Alex
