Hi,
I am currently in the process of applying to an interesting job opportunity. The thing is, they strongly recommend people to have experience abroad. In all other aspects, I am perfectly qualified, but I have no relevant working/studying experience abroad.
However, I have grown up bilingual in Germany and have spent almost every summer 4-6 weeks with my family outside Europe.
On the application website, there is a spot where they ask "What else would you like us to know about you? E.g. skills, etc. ".
I was thinking to either address this issue there, saying something like "experience abroad serves to broaden your horizon, improve your intercultural skills, etc. and while I haven't spent any time abroad I have learned to this my whole life". The other possibility would be to address this in my cover letter.
What do you guys think?
