As somebody who worked in newspaper publishing I totally understand the pressures of exiting a dying industry. And normally do not advise that someone changed their job while they're applying to MBA programs because it shows that you are not really starting a new job in earnest. But with the intention to quit for Business School. And I don't think that's a very good look but in your case if you've been seeking a new job for a while and this is in alignment with your goals I could see the temptation. The important thing to articulate is how this is along the path towards your goals. Even if they happen to be just on paper you will need to demonstrate how this is not just a desperate move but actually or something moving it closer to the post MBA goal. That's the trick.

Hi,
I have recently received a job offer and is expected to start there by 1st Oct 2019. Currently, I am employed in the automobile industry.
Observing the downward trend in the automobile industry, switching seems an attractive move.
Simultaneously, I am also targetting Canadian colleges (full-time MBA) and all application process will start from month of Oct.
Pros of new Job:
1) New industry - Label packaging
2) Good hike
Is this a good move?
PS: My current company has promised me a promotion and some salary hike (not equivalent to new offer). The only issue is I don't enjoy this job and was looking something beyond automobile industry( for a very long time)
